12mm Rebar – Deformed Steel Bar (HRB400 / HRB500)
Product Overview
Jingye supplies 12mm rebar, a hot-rolled ribbed deformed bar with a nominal diameter of 12 mm. The nominal mass is 0.888 kg per metre and the nominal cross-sectional area is 113.1 mm2. At the standard 12 m length there are approximately 94 bars to the tonne, or 1,126 metres to the tonne.
This size is available both as straight bars in 8 to 12 m lengths and as coiled rebar, which makes it the smallest size that can be supplied straight. It is normally specified for beams, columns and slabs. All bars carry transverse ribs for mechanical interlock with concrete. Grades are HRB400, HRB400E, HRB500 and HRB500E, and the applicable standards are GB 1499.2, BS 4449, KS D3504, AS/NZS 4671, ASTM A615, SS 560 and the Myanmar, Costa Rican and Colombian standards.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the nominal mass of 12mm rebar?
12mm rebar has a nominal mass of 0.888 kg per metre and a nominal cross-sectional area of 113.1 mm2. At the standard 12 m length there are approximately 94 bars to the tonne, or 1,126 metres to the tonne. The figures follow GB 1499.2 nominal values.
- What length is 12mm rebar supplied in?
Straight bars are supplied in 8 to 12 m and cut-to-length and bundling can be arranged on request.
- What is 12mm rebar in metric sizes?
The nearest imperial size is #4, at 12.7 mm nominal diameter.
- Do you supply test certificates for 12mm rebar?
Yes. Every heat is tested for chemical composition, yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and bend performance, and the shipment is released with a mill test certificate.
