#3 Rebar – Deformed Steel Bar (ASTM A615)
Product Overview
Jingye supplies #3 rebar, a hot-rolled ribbed deformed bar with a nominal diameter of 9.5 mm (0.375 inch). The nominal mass is 0.560 kg per metre and the nominal cross-sectional area is 71.3 mm2. At the standard 12 m length there are approximately 149 bars to the tonne, or 1,786 metres to the tonne.
This size is supplied as straight bars to ASTM A615 and is also available as coiled rebar to ASTM A706, whose coiled range covers 6 to 10 mm. It is normally specified for slabs, mesh and stirrups. All bars carry transverse ribs for mechanical interlock with concrete. Grades are ASTM A615 Gr.40 and Gr.60, and the applicable standards are ASTM A615 Gr.40 and Gr.60 (straight); ASTM A706 Gr.60 and Gr.60-B (coiled).

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the nominal mass of #3 rebar?
#3 rebar has a nominal mass of 0.560 kg per metre and a nominal cross-sectional area of 71.3 mm2. At the standard 12 m length there are approximately 149 bars to the tonne, or 1,786 metres to the tonne. The figures follow ASTM A615 nominal values.
- What length is #3 rebar supplied in?
Straight bars are supplied in 8 to 12 m and cut-to-length and bundling can be arranged on request.
- What is #3 rebar in metric sizes?
Equivalent to a nominal diameter of 9.5 mm; the nearest metric size is 10 mm.
- Do you supply test certificates for #3 rebar?
Yes. Every heat is tested for chemical composition, yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and bend performance, and the shipment is released with a mill test certificate.
