Jingye supplies 14mm rebar, a hot-rolled ribbed deformed bar with a nominal diameter of 14 mm. The nominal mass is 1.21 kg per metre and the nominal cross-sectional area is 153.9 mm2. At the standard 12 m length there are approximately 69 bars to the tonne, or 826 metres to the tonne.
This size is supplied as straight bars in 8 to 12 m lengths. It is normally specified for columns and beams. All bars carry transverse ribs for mechanical interlock with concrete. Grades are HRB400, HRB400E, HRB500 and HRB500E, and the applicable standards are GB 1499.2, BS 4449, KS D3504, AS/NZS 4671, ASTM A615, SS 560 and the Myanmar, Costa Rican and Colombian standards.
